April 30, 2024 - The Office of the Provost summarizes the opportunities and resources available to faculty, including information about the demonstration on campus, an invite to apply to the UO Summer Teaching Institute: Teaching in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, a notice about the Faculty Promotion Celebration, and a link to listen to the Glass Apple Podcast to hear insights about inclusive teaching.
This week-long, in-person event brings faculty together from all schools and colleges for inspiration, collegial connection, critical conversations, and creation of new teaching materials. This year, the institute will focus on the rapid rise of Generative Artificial Intelligence as it impacts teaching and learning. Apply by May 22 to be considered for the institute (this opportunity is intended for career and tenure-related faculty at UO).
The Glass Apple Podcast offers a look­ into UO classes and the ways our faculty think about teaching. For example, Camisha Russell, Associate Professor of Philosophy and a member of the Provost’s Teaching Academy Board, speaks about encouraging engagement, inclusivity in design elements, enhancing transparency in the classroom, and more.

April 15, 2024 - The Office of the Provost summarizes the opportunities and resources available to faculty, including a reminder to attend the UO Faculty Club reopening on April 16 at the JSMA Faculty Lounge, a notice to express your interest in promotion this term to be considered next year, invites to mentor and mentee workshops, and the schedules of teaching groups and drop-in sessions.

April 1, 2024 - The Office of the Provost summarizes the opportunities and resources available to faculty, including an announcement about the return of the UO Faculty Club and an invitation to apply to the club's organizing group, an invitation to the Inclusive Retention Roundtable, and an invitation to attend mentorship workshops.

President Karl Scholz and Interim Provost Karen Ford are pleased to announce the return of the UO Faculty Club. We invite applications of interest from tenure-track and career colleagues for three coordinator roles to serve on the organizing group.
