UO Online Staff Directory

Robert Voelker-Morris works collaboratively with campus administration, technology support leadership, student support colleagues, faculty, and the Office of the Provost to promote teaching excellence and to support strategic implementation of emerging online programs. Robert works closely with colleagues from UO Online and across campus in developing major initiatives to foster faculty engagement in teaching development and develop inclusive student experiences. He has taught courses in art and design including a visual literacy course taught online, and First-Year seminars and College Connections courses that support students’ transition to the university.

Jason Bryant is an instructional designer for UO Online, where he works with faculty from a range of disciplines to develop inclusive, impactful learning experiences for graduate and undergraduate students. Before joining the UO Online team, Jason taught online, hybrid, and in-person courses in American cultural and literary studies at Arizona State University. He earned PhD in English from Arizona State University as well as an MA and BA from Midwestern State University.

Paolo Daniele aims to bring people and opportunities together through student recruitment, international education, and the growth of online programs to expand access to top education at the UO. Before joining the UO Online team, Paolo led the UO's graduate career preparation initiatives, and for eight years served as the UO's international exchange programs coordinator and student advisor. A frequent conference presenter, Paolo enjoys exploring the intersection of international student mobility, recruitment, and career readiness, helping institutions and students navigate global pathways with purpose.

Andrea De Lei is an instructional designer for U.O. Online. Andrea consults with subject matter experts in a variety of fields to design engaging, inclusive, and high-quality online learning environments for graduate and undergraduate courses. Before joining the U.O. Online team, she was at Oregon State University, supporting marketing, communication, and events efforts within the Department of Recreational Sports. Andrea holds an M.Ed in Adult and Higher Education with an emphasis on Instructional Design from Oregon State University and a B.S. in Kinesiology from Washington State University.

Chris Edison is an instructional designer for UO Online. He works with faculty to develop and refine engaging online courses for all students. As a career educator, Chris is passionate about inclusive courses that prioritize active learning and student agency. Before joining the UO Online team, Chris worked as a Rhetoric and Composition instructor for the University of Oklahoma, teaching on-campus and hybrid courses. During that time, he also worked for two years as the Assistant Director of the OU First-Year Composition Program. He has experience with curricular design, instructor training, and administrative support. Chris holds a BA in English from Oklahoma State University, an MA in English from the University of Rochester, and a PhD in English from the University of Oklahoma.

Jack Kemp provides media and video production support to the UO Online team and UO students, faculty, and staff. He brings decades of instructional video experience in higher education and works behind the camera to make sure faculty shine onscreen and students get the most from their online educational experience. Jack holds a BS from Eastern Oregon University in General Studies.

Chad Little oversees the support services for UO Online including Faculty Canvas Support, UO Online Exam Center, and Media Production. He previously worked in the College of Arts and Sciences IT department. Chad holds a degree in economics from the University of Oregon and has 16 years of experience working with technology and online education in a higher education setting.

Julia Nawrocki assists the Faculty Canvas Support Desk and UO Online Exam Center. Before joining UO Online, Julia worked as a tutor and Office Specialist for the TRiO SSS & TRiO STEM departments at Lane Community College. Outside of higher education, she worked for the Bethel School District in West Eugene as an educational assistant for Willamette High School. 

Kathryn Paulus is the UO Online Proctor for the UO Online Exam Center. As a first-generation college student, she is passionate about supporting education inside and outside of the traditional classroom setting. She has previously held many positions at the UO focusing on educational engagement and administrative support, namely with the American English Institute, First-Year Interest Group Program, TRIO Student Support Services, the Accessible Education Center, and the Chinese Flagship Program. Kathryn holds a BA in Chinese, Linguistics, and Global Studies from the University of Oregon.  

Bob provides support and assistance for UO instructors with their Canvas and Panopto questions. Before joining UO Online, Bob was an outdoor preschool teacher. And is the former UO Online Proctor. A non-traditional and first-generation college graduate, Bob is committed to educational engagement, either in the classroom or online. 

Tim Sorg is a Senior Instructional Designer for UO Online. Before joining the UO, Tim taught in-person and online courses in history, archaeology, and political science at Stanford, Cornell, and OSU Ecampus. As a Lecturer at Stanford, he also coordinated a research and mentorship program for undergraduate students of all disciplines. He holds a PhD and MA in History from Cornell, an MA in Classics from Stanford, and a BA in History from Oregon State.

Carolyn Vogt provides administrative support to the associate vice provost for Online and Distance Education and is the operations manager for the UO Online team.  She manages day to day activities, travel, purchasing, personnel hiring, office management, and related operations.  Prior to coming to UO, she was the executive assistant to the president and vice president of a large Eugene company.

Marla Wirrick is a Senior Instructional Designer for UO Online with expertise in adapting in‑person courses for online learning. She focuses on accessibility, engagement, and inclusion, and has developed materials for diverse audiences. Marla is passionate about helping faculty design courses that support student success. She holds a BA in English from the University of Oregon.

Krystal Sundstrom is an Instructional Designer for UO Online, with experience across K–12 and higher education. Her work has centered on supporting multilingual learners, including coordinating a Spanish Dual Immersion program and teaching graduate ELD/ESOL methods courses in UO's teacher licensure program. She also worked at the Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS) developing online language assessments and e-portfolio tools, grounding her in learner-centered design and educational technology. Sundstrom holds a Ph.D. in Education Studies and an M.S. in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon. She is passionate about partnering with faculty to create equitable and meaningful online learning experiences for all students.
