Faculty Focus Group: DIA: Creating Encouraging and Dynamic Learning Spaces

  • 30 November 2021
  • Virtual Event
  • Event Host: TEP
  • Event Type: Workshop

Special Focus: Anti-racist, gender-affirming and student elevating pedagogies

Alison Gash, associate professor of political science and Provost’s Teaching Fellow, is working with the Provost's office and TEP to provide more resources and supports for faculty teaching about difference and power, particularly as part of U.S. Difference, Inequality and Agency courses.

To that end, Professor Gash wants to know what has been working in your courses, what remains challenging, and how the university can recognize and support the work you are doing.

This will be a great opportunity to meet other faculty who are doing this work and to share your experiences. Most importantly, it will give us specific details about how to further our commitments to inclusive and anti-oppressive teaching.

We have scheduled two focus groups that will be (loosely) organized thematically. Please register through the links above if you can attend one of the meetings.

If you cannot make the focus groups Professor Gash would love to schedule a one-on-one zoom. Please email gash@uoregon.edu to schedule a time to talk!

Hosted on Zoom.
