Educational Research in Action

  • 9 December 2024
  • EMU Board Room (340)
  • Event Host: TEP
  • Event Type: Workshop
  • Teaching Pillar: Professional, Inclusive, Engaged, Research-Informed

Join the Teaching Engagement Program (TEP) for a lunch discussion on educational research—including the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), action research, practitioner inquiry, and teacher-as-researcher practices—where we’ll explore strategies to systematically understand the impact of particular teaching practices and contribute to the academic community at UO and beyond.

In this session, we’ll explore potential paths in educational research that may align with your interests and availability and develop ideas as a group on how to work together. This is a great opportunity to inquire into your own classroom practices, with themes that align with both departmental and institutional priorities, such as teaching toward career readiness, timely graduation, reducing equity gaps, the role of generative AI in teaching, and more.
