Selecting Accessible Course Materials: Textbooks and Readings

Event:

You’ve chosen course readings and textbooks that provide necessary information for students and that they access online. But how do you know if they are accessible, and if they aren't, what other options might you consider? Learn about initial steps you can take to find out if your digital readings are accessible and tips for finding more accessible versions.

Stay tuned for event date and location.

Taking Stock of Your Canvas Course with UO’s Accessibility Tool (Pope Tech)

Event:

You’ve applied digital accessibility basics to individual Canvas pages and other digital formats. In this session, celebrate the work you’ve already done and explore how you can use UO’s accessibility tool for Canvas (Pope Tech) to get an overview of the most common accessibility issues that might still be occurring across your course(s) and what to do about them. Knowing what the top issues will save you time in creating new materials accessibly, and in prioritizing updates to existing ones you’ll be re-using.

Stay tuned for event date and location.
