Making the Most of Unit Policy Updates Related to Teaching

TEP invites unit heads and faculty who're helping lead the policy update process in your units to join us for a discussion about updating Career- and Tenure-Track Faculty Review and Promotion Policies and Teaching Evaluation Rubrics in ways that reflect your unit’s teaching aspirations and values. We’ll look at specific examples of how to modify the Office of the Provost’s policy templates based on the interpretations of, and additions to, university-wide professional, inclusive, engaged, and research-informed teaching standards. We’ll also discuss how to have a values-based conversations about teaching in your unit that translates into your policy modifications.
