Alliance for Diversity in Science and Engineering (ADSE) is hosting an interactive workshop geared towards better communicating science in the classroom and general presentations to more diverse audiences. The main theme is to learn how to use scientific language that is more inclusive for non-native English speakers and consequently have your curriculum/science understood by everyone listening, regardless of background. The workshop will be led by Dr. Cory Buxton, from the College of Education at Oregon State University, who has years of research in communicating the language of science.
