This session will focus on the fundamentals of human subject research and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process, essential for ensuring ethical and responsible research practices. Kayla Champaigne, Assistant Director of Research Compliance Services, will provide a clear overview of the IRB process, including:

  • How to get started,
  • Common requirements, and
  • Tips for navigating approvals.

Whether you are completely new to IRB processes or have prior experience, this session will provide valuable insights and practical guidance. There will also be time for your questions. Additionally, we’ll include community-building activities and share upcoming events and curated resources to support your research journey. Whether you joined our previous session or are new to this group, you are warmly invited to attend. Coffee and pastries will be provided. For more information, email alisoken@uoregon.edu.
