Designing for Accessibility: Coffee & Co-working (April 16)

  • 16 April 2024
  • Straub Hall, 401 (or via Zoom at link in description)
  • Event Host: TEP
  • Event Type: Learning community, Reading and discussion group

This informal, supportive co-working session is for instructors and staff looking to expand accessibility in their courses and/or other work contexts!

  • When/Where: 12-1pm on the third Tuesday of each month, over Zoom or in person in Straub Hall, room 401
  • Why: You might choose to join us if you want a space to co-think with others; build accessibility-related community; use the accountability of a co-working hour; get linked to resources
  • What: The focus of each co-working session will come from issues and contexts you bring and want to work through or share with others. Many contexts and strategies fit under the wide goal of “expanding accessibility." For example, you might use the time to work on or discuss file accessibility; revise part of an assignment, course policy, or class activity using Universal Design for Learning; find resources for for specialized accessibility-related challenges (i.e. how do I make my art course more assessible for blind and visually impaired students?); share work you're doing that you're excited about.
  • How: register for any number of meetings in MyTrack by using the button below. If joining us in person, free to bring any food/drink you want (coffee and tea provided).
