AI & the Duck Experience: How UO Students Are Using (or Avoiding) AI
As AI tools become increasingly embedded in higher education, how are UO students using them—and what do they need from educators? While faculty may have ideas about AI’s role in student learning, students' experiences across disciplines and backgrounds provide a more nuanced perspective. This 90-minute panel will feature five undergraduate students from various disciplines sharing their experiences, challenges, and expectations around AI in learning. Their insights can help educators refine and adapt their teaching practices in response to the evolving landscape of AI-enhanced education.
Teaching Engagement Program invites GEs, faculty, and staff to engage in this conversation and gain a deeper understanding of how UO students are—or aren’t—using AI as we navigate this new educational landscape together.
