Day of Exchange Panel: AI-Aware Course and Assignment Design
Close the Day of Exchange with colleagues who have reimagined their courses and assignments through the Teaching Triangles program. Faculty will share what they changed, what they learned, and what they would tell a colleague just starting this work. Along the way, we’ll highlight the design moves that matter most when teaching in an age of generative AI: making an assignment’s purpose visible, anchoring tasks in context, promoting process, and verifying learning. We’ll also look at how clear communication about AI expectations and attention to students’ AI literacy and metacognition keep their thinking at the center. There’s no such thing as an AI-proof assignment, but there is such a thing as an AI-aware one, designed so that students still do the thinking the assignment is meant to build. Join us to celebrate this work and to support colleagues across campus who are taking on their own revisions.
Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
